It was awesome. No need to disassemble the head everytime you need new string. No crazy special winding method. Just cut string about an arms length, feed half way through hole and twist head until it winds up to desired length. Now I have a new Stihl weed eater and their string head sucks (not really, just nowhere as good as the Oregon head) and I'm looking for a new Oregon to go on the new trimmer. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful  Wast of time & money !!, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Oregon 55-265 Speed Feed 2 Line Trimmer Head 4 1/2 Inch Straight Shaft (Lawn & Patio) The second time I used this thing, it wouldn't feed the line at all .. disassembly showed two plastic parts seized up. I separated the parts, smoothed them up with fine sandpaper, and reassembled. It still wouldn't feed line over 0.095" at all, and even the 0.095" line feed is erratic at best. Manual says it will accept 0.105" line .. OREGON's website says 0.130"Seems like a nice idea, but very poorly built. I bought the heavier-duty model hoping it would hold up for a season or two .. no luck .. it'll be in the trask in a few weeks. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Easy to install and use -- Excellent, This review is from: Oregon 55-265 Speed Feed 2 Line Trimmer Head 4 1/2 Inch Straight Shaft (Lawn & Patio) I replaced the head on my Echo trimmer with this unit and I love it. It was easy to install - the adapter was required for mine but directions made it easy to determine whether it was needed or not - it loads line super easily and has functioned flawless for several hours of use on my brushy, rocky hillside.
